Advanced Safety for Confident Voyaging

1. Safety Comes First

At Nautinator, safety is not an afterthought: it is a core principle. Every yacht is engineered to give owners and crew confidence whether cruising coastal waters or crossing oceans. From triple-redundant propulsion to a strong steel hull and thoughtful design details, Nautinator yachts are built to handle the unexpected so you can focus on enjoying the journey.

2. Triple Redundancy – Never Without Power

Nautinator’s most important safety feature is its triple-redundant propulsion system:

  • Diesel – Reliable power for high speeds or difficult conditions
  • Electric – Quiet, clean propulsion with battery and solar support
  • LibertyKite (40m²) – Wind-powered backup that can propel the yacht at 5–7 knots

This setup ensures you always have a way to move, even if one system fails. The LibertyKite alone can be used on 79–84% of a long-distance voyage, making it an effective emergency propulsion option in case of engine trouble or dismasting.

3. Extended Range for Safe Long Voyages

Nautinator yachts are designed for real world-cruising with excellent range. Thanks to the efficient CombiHull, Tanto bow, and other optimizations, the yacht requires significantly less power while cruising. The LibertyKite further extends range by harnessing wind power for a large portion of the journey. This means fewer refueling stops, lower risk of running low on fuel in remote areas, and greater freedom to explore safely.

4. Light Ice-Breaking Capability

The hull is built strong. This construction allows the yacht to safely navigate thin ice and cold waters without needing a dedicated ice-class vessel. This feature opens up higher-latitude and polar routes that many yachts must avoid, adding real versatility and safety for adventurous owners.

5. Strong Steel Hull for Superior Durability

Unlike fiberglass (GRP) yachts that can crack or delaminate on impact, Nautinator’s hull is rigid and extremely tough. It offers much better resistance to collisions, grounding, and heavy seas. The result is a durable, long-lasting yacht you can trust in challenging conditions.

6. Efficient Cruising with Speed When Needed

Nautinator yachts are highly efficient at normal cruising speeds, which reduces fuel consumption and engine load. However, when you need extra speed, for example, to reach shelter before bad weather, the diesel engine can push the yacht up to 18 knots. The LibertyKite can also provide a 6–16% speed boost (up to 30% in good wind), giving you flexibility and an extra safety margin when conditions change quickly.

7. Additional Safety Features

Nautinator yachts include many practical safety details:

  • Advanced navigation systems (GPS, radar, AIS)
  • Emergency equipment: life rafts, EPIRBs, and fire suppression
  • Non-slip decks, sturdy handrails, and strong safety harness points
  • Watertight compartments to limit flooding
  • Low center of gravity (thanks to horizontal shafts) for better stability and reduced risk of capsize

These features work together to keep both crew and yacht safe in a wide range of situations to give confidence for long-distance voyaging.Addendum: Safety Features at a Glance
